Racial Diversity Employment Programme (RDEP)

RDEP is a programme launched by the Labour Department in collaboration with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to provide one-stop employment support services for ethnic minority job seekers through a case management approach, so as to enhance their employability and support career development.

NGOs commissioned by the Labour Department will assign social workers to act as Case Managers of the ethnic minority participants and provide them with customised employment services comprising (a) initial screening and needs assessment, (b) pre-employment counselling, (c) employment assistance and job matching, (d) post-placement support, and (e) case review.

Service Period

Upon enrolment or re-enrolment of an ethnic minority job seeker, a service period of RDEP lasts for six months. All ethnic minority job seekers joining the Programme will become registered job seekers of the Labour Department upon successful registration.

Participation in RDEP is free of charge
