The Labour Department provides free and easy-to-use employment service to help job-seekers find suitable jobs.

Job Vacancy Information

You may obtain Vacancy Information at the Interactive Employment Service (iES) website and, where appropriate, approach employers directly for job application.

You may make use of the numerous vacancy search terminals located throughout the territory to search for suitable jobs in the job vacancy database of the Labour Department.

You can also use your mobile devices to search for suitable vacancies from the job vacancy database of the Labour Department anytime and anywhere through the iES mobile application.

Employment Service

After successful Registration at the iES website, you may use the employment services offered by the Labour Department. These include:

  • Services of the Telephone Employment Service Centre [Telephone Hotline : 29690888];
  • Employment services of the job centres throughout the territory;
  • Build/upload your resume;
  • Save your job search criteria to receive a job list under "my home" which contains vacancies matching your job search criteria every time when you login iES website;
  • Register for Job Alert service under "my home" to receive regular email notice which contains the most updated job vacancy information matching your job search criteria; and
  • If you have chosen to receive information on employment services/ recruitment activities of the Labour Department upon registration, the system will notify you of such activities through e-mail or SMS.

Employment Advisory Service

If you would like to obtain job search advice, you may meet the employment advisors at job centres. Depending on the needs of individual job seekers, employment officers will:

  • provide information of the latest employment market, training courses and existing employment programmes available;
  • conduct career aptitude assessments for job seekers;
  • provide job search advice; and/or
  • assist job seekers to enroll in the Work Trial Scheme.
