According
to a specially commissioned survey conducted
by the Census and Statistics Department
of the HKSAR Government in 2008, some 218 200 Hong Kong residents had worked in the Mainland of China during the 12 months before enumeration, of
which over 80% hold managers and administrators and
professionals/associate professionals posts.

In
order to allow Hong Kong people who intend
to look for job opportunities in the Mainland
to have access to more comprehensive information,
we set out through this webpage those issues
to be noted by Hong Kong people who are
seeking jobs in the Mainland, and also job
vacancies in the Mainland provided by Hong
Kong employers. In addition, the webpage
also provides information on Hong Kong employment
agencies which provide placement services
for jobs in the Mainland, from which job-seekers
can obtain more information on job vacancies.
Thanks
to the assistance given by the Ministry
of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China, this webpage
is linked with the website of the Ministry
and its public job-searching website named
"China Labour Market". The linkage
enables the exchange of information on recruitment
and labour protection, whereby job-seekers
and employees can be better informed on
employment information on the Mainland,
thus promoting the integration of economy
between Hong Kong and the Mainland.
Certainly,
before making any decision, job-seekers
should carefully consider their own position
whether they are suitable to work in the
Mainland, and should also discuss with their
family, colleagues or friends.
